NFL DRAFT PREVIEW – ESPN THE MAGAZINE
KINGS FOR A DAY III
NO DRAFT INVITE? NO PROBLEM. FOR THE THIRD TIME, THE MAG BROUGHT FIVE MIDROUND PROSPECTS TO THE BIG CITY FOR A LITTLE TASTE OF THE NFL DREAM.
By Molly Knight
DANIEL TE’O-NESHEIM
Defensive End
University of Washington
Belive it or not, the Huskies’ all-time sack leader (he had 30) is incredibly laid-back. Credit growing up in Hawaii, “One morning, a friend was telling me he was depressed,” Te’o-Nesheim says, “I was like, ‘Man, look around you. We live in paradise.’” But don’t sleep on the Zen master, one of the best pass-rushers probably not on your radar. Huskies coach Steve Sarkisian called Te’o-Nesheim, who moonlighted on the track and field team, the hardest-working player he’s ever coached. The lineman plans to enjoy island living again one day, but not until his NFL career is over. “Coming from Hawaii, I have a reputation of toughness to uphold,” he says. “I’m eager to prove myself.”
