Premier Collaborates with USA Today on Coaching Salary Database
21 Dec 10
Premier Stinson Sports, a joint venture between Premier Sports & Entertainment and the law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, has collaborated with USA TODAY in the retrieval, analysis and publication of college football coach contracts and outside income reports (per NCAA Bylaw 11.2.2). This information was included in a database, portions of which have been uploaded to USA TODAY’s web site (a link follows). Recently, USA TODAY has published several articles using this database as a resource, including two articles in today’s paper edition regarding assistant college football coaches. We will continue our collaboration this winter and spring in conjunction with the evaluation and publication of men’s college basketball coach contracts and likely women’s college basketball coach contracts as well. In addition to the salary data (and copies of the actual contracts), certain on-field/on-court/in-classroom performance statistics will be included shortly. In the future, the scope of the database will likely include athletics directors, college baseball coaches, strength coaches and operations directors.
Today, a tab for the assistant football coach data has been added to the database, showing the compensation of 929 public school assistant college football coaches. If you have trouble accessing the assistant football coach data in Internet Explorer, try Firefox, Safari or Chrome. These on-line databases will be updated periodically and completely edited at or about the conclusion of a given college sports season (e.g. December for football, April for basketball).
