Former president is F.O.P. -- Friend of Pete

18 Oct 10

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and Bill Clinton, former president.
Coach Pete Carroll caused some Twitter-pation Monday morning, posting a photo of himself as the second most prominent man in the room.

That's because he was with Bill Clinton, former president.

Clinton came to Seattle to campaign for Sen. Patty Murray, who became a Senator the same year Clinton was elected president.

"I met the president a while back in Southern California," Carroll said. "He was down for a speech, and we got to visiting. We communicated a little bit back and forth, and he was kind enough to contribute to the book and all that. We invited him to practice when he was coming to town, and he couldn't make it. They called this morning and said he was going to be available so we just jumped together and hung out for a little while. It was a great honor, a great honor. He's amazing, an amazing guy."
